The weekend of September 17th marked one year for Joe Liburdi’s Dive & Photo. We had balloons and treats and three days of well wishers. Industry experts joined the celebration to preview new dive and photo equipment and answer questions. Darcy Benward from Atomic Aquatics demonstrated the new Cobalt computer.  Andy Sallmon introduced the new Sea & Sea DX-GE5. (More on those products in Part 2.) And we gave away some gifts, too.

Martha completed her PADI Open Water Diver referral course, She did her academic and pool work in California, then joined us in La Paz to do her open water dives with Nelson from the Cortez Club.

Loren completed her training in the much colder waters off Laguna Beach and came down to La Paz with her instructor Sandra to get a little experience and begin her advanced training. Mom Rosemary told us how terrified of the water she was when she started. You’d never know it from the way she handled herself!
